5 Tips to Educate Your Children Without Yelling
Children are reckless, stubborn, and hard to deal with. Guess what, it is normal. Most of the parent-children problems are caused by misunderstandings and miscommunications.
1) Set Rules & Expectations
Take a piece of paper and write down your rules. Explain each of these rules to your child to create a kind of a consensus agreement. Have your child sign this paper as a sign of acceptance. Finally, stick it to the fridge.
2) Thinking Before Acting
Children are reckless! Some parents are too! Take your time before you act. Remember that you are your child's role model.
3) Discussion is the key to any problem
Some parents have a hard time speaking with their children. Speak to your child to know more about his problems and fears.
4) Stay Calm
You are not supposed to talk to your child the minute after he misbehaved. Go for a walk, meditate, or talk to friends and family before you have your one-on-one discussion with your child.
5) Repeat
No matter how hard you try to be a good parent, some times it is not going to work out. Take your time to think about what worked and what didn't work.
